Yummy Scanner is a simple and self-explanatory recipe scanner that allows you to digitize recipes from printed media. This app makes your favorite recipes from your cookbooks and magazines available in your recipe manager (e.g. My CookBook or Paprika). Very fast and easy.
Your mobile phone serves as the digitizer of a printed recipe. The result of the processed picture (photographing a recipe with the camera or selecting an existing image from the library) is presented to you in blocks of text.
You can edit the recipe (assign text blocks to recipe attributes, change text blocks, sort text blocks and categorize the recipe) before you create the recipe file. The recipe can finally be loaded (imported) by an import-ready recipe manager. The exported files can generally be processed by any Recipe Manager that offers an import of recipe files (e.g. My CookBook or Paprika).
The generated file is equivalent to the Meal Master Format. Depending of the users feedback, further export formats can be offered.
Yummy Scanner is optimized for mobile phones, not for tablets.

The used recipe manager needs to be able to import recipe files with formats Yummy Scanner generates. Yummy Scanner is currently creating the recipes file in the Meal Master Format.
