Created for Myanmar teachers and their students, Teacher Simon is a completely free application for Android mobile phones which allows the user to download and save English language audio, video, text and graphic files.
The application is perfect for improving your knowledge of spoken English, both listening and speaking.
The Teacher Simon application provides English practice files that are relevant to the country and culture of Myanmar. Our files include:
- Recordings in clear British English of English/Myanmar children's story books published by Pann Satt Lann Publishing Company (Yangon).
- Recordings of each lesson text of the English Reader text books that are used in Myanmar government schools.
- Video recordings (with English sub-titles) of popular children's stories, such as 'Little Red Riding Hood'.
- Audio recordings that provide spoken examples and explanations of English grammar, including common mistakes made by Myanmar students when speaking English.
- Audio and graphic files pertaining to common English vocabulary.
New English files are added on a weekly basis. Teachers can also request specific files to be recorded and made available in the download library.
The Teacher Simon mobile application was created by 'Teacher Simon', who is the British teacher at ILBC School, Naypyidaw. Through his charity work, Simon provides English language resources (text-books, story-books, posters etc) to teachers and students at many orphanages in Naypyidaw Union Territory and Shan State.
This application is free and contains no pop-up advertisements. When you download an English file, Please be aware of the data use charge of your mobile network, or connect to wi-fi for your download. You can also send downloaded files directly to your friends in the same room by using the Bluetooth connection on your mobile phone.
