Extension Detector detects extensions used by your installed applications. This app has all the tools needed to find push notification ads and icon ads.

If you are looking for an app that uses AirPush or other push notifications, you can easily find the app and uninstall it. In addition to push notifications, using this app is a great way to see what advertising apps and agencies are using, and what tools they have integrated.

Does a normal scan not detect unwanted ads?

You can easily enable the notification screen to see which program places a notification in your notification area.

Another great feature added is the live scanner. This scanner scans newly installed and updated applications for specified add-on categories and displays a notification if it is found. That feature is reserved for users who have donated.

If you're getting unwanted shortcuts on your home screen, a new ad screen has been added that should detect that, too.

The current list of detected add-ons is based on add-on definition updates from the server, so the list may contain more add-ons not listed here. You can check the help function to see all the discoverable extensions.

Known Issues: There are reports of the Samsung Galaxy 3 app continuing to talk when the folder on the home screens is open or similar. This issue seems to be related to the ICS/Samsung OS and occurs for some people and also with other apps that use the Accessibility service like Tasker, Light Flow, and others.

To avoid this problem, you can follow the following steps:

On Samsung S3: Go to Settings -> Accessibility -> Turn on Talkback.
Select "Settings" from the bottom of the page
Deselect all Talkback options.
Toggle Talkback to "Off" again.
Go back to Settings -> Application Manager -> All.
Disable Google TTS (text-to-speech).
Disable Samsung TTS (Text-to-Speech).
