To display the battery bar over other apps, make sure to grant the "draw over other apps" special access on first use.
[Limitations for Android Oreo (8.0) Users]
Due to Android OS security improvements, it’s not possible to display the battery bar over the status bar. Therefore, the battery bar will always be shown below the status bar.
