• Android ™ device owners
- Wireless transfers between Galaxy devices: Android version 4.0 or later
Transfers from a compatible Android device to a Galaxy device: Android 4.0 or later (note that non-Samsung devices with Android versions earlier than 6.0 can only connect to Galaxy devices that support mobile hotspot .)
- Wired transfer: Android version 4.3 or later, charger cable, USB OTG cable
• iOS ™ device owners - use the best option:
Wired transfer from iOS device to Galaxy: iOS 5.0 or later, iOS device cable (Lightning or 30 pin connector), USB OTG cable

What content can be transferred?
- Contacts, calendar (device content only), messages, photos, music (DRM-free content only, not supported for iCloud), videos (DRM-free content only), call logs, memos, alerts, settings Wi-Fi, Wallpapers, Documents, App Data (Galaxy devices only), and Home screen layouts (Galaxy devices only)
- You can send app data and home screen layouts by upgrading your Galaxy device to M OS (Galaxy S6 or later).
▣ What devices are supported?
• Galaxy: recent Galaxy mobile devices and tablets (from Galaxy S2)
* Note: For Galaxy S2 devices, an outdated version of the operating system (GB / ICS) may result in incompatibility. If your S2 is not working properly, please try after updating the firmware.
• Other Android devices:
- HTC, LG, Sony, Huawei, Lenovo, Motorola, PANTECH, Panasonic, Kyocera, NEC, SHARP, Fujitsu, Xiaomi, Vivo, OPPO, Coolpad (DazenF2), RIM (Priv), YotaPhone, ZTE (Nubia Z9), Gionee , LAVA, MyPhone (My28s), Cherry Mobile, Google (Pixel)
* Note: Smart Switch may not be installed and used on some devices due to various reasons such as compatibility between devices.
For data transfer, both devices must have at least 500 MB of free space in their internal memory.
- If you are using a wired connection, your device must support the USB option “Multimedia file transfer (MTP)” to allow content transfer.
- If you have a device other than Samsung that constantly disconnects from the wireless network, go to the advanced Wi-Fi settings of your device, turn off the “Configure Wi-Fi” and “Disconnect weak Wi-Fi signal” options, then try again.
