1. Lightweight: This is a very small application (about half a megabyte) with very little footprint.
2. Does not require network access.
3. No Advertising or Other Promotions.
4. Driven by User Input: When users request a new action or unit, the application changes quickly.
5. It has a unique spinning wheel design (as far as we know the only such interface). Most users like it (but some don't). It takes a minimum number of clicks for a unit to be converted.
6. Also, when rotating spinners, users have a better feeling of getting available units compared to drop-down selection.
7. Although the first page looks cluttered with what seems like a lot of measurements, once you select a certain scale the interface becomes much more interesting. The user can modify the measurement from the selection menu instead of returning to the main page.
8. Different levels of customization: A measurement can be added or deleted from the Favorites tab. Once the preferred measurement has been declared, the units can be sorted alphabetically or by value by selecting the sort command from the Storage menu. Unwanted units can be removed by aligning the wheels of the unwanted unit and clicking the "Remove" button. A new unit or even new measurements can be added.
9. Frequently used actions The first ten are dynamically listed in the Recurring tab.
10. Compound Units: Units must at some point be converted to compound units, for example converting meters to yards, feet and inches or vice versa. All you have to do to do this is select the length, then M on the left and YD FT on the right. Similarly, the conversion from seconds to hours min-seconds is more important than hours with many decimal places.
11. 'Swap' button quickly swaps left and right units, reducing unnecessary rotation.
12. Expression Evaluation: Sometimes engineers need to calculate a value before converting units. For example, the floor of a room is 17 feet by 23 feet and you want to find the area in SQ. M In this case, type 17 * 23 in the Unit box and click the Update button.
13. The information button on each unit gives a specific auxiliary to the unit, the geometric dimension of the unit, and also displays detailed results where applicable. For example when calculating mortgage interest (mortgage interest), the amortization table is displayed on the information page.
