Download StayLit Wear: Longer Backlight for free
Description of the application
Allows you to adjust how long the light stays on for your watch. After setting the clock.
You can choose to set the amount of time by dimming (i.e. by tapping the screen, moving the clock, or pressing a button) until it is allowed to go back to dim mode again.
New: Indefinite+ mode: the light stays on until you turn it off, but also goes off when you move the watch away from you. This way, the light will turn on when you need it. (Note that in this mode as well, you will respect individual lighting timeouts from apps like Google Fit, Maps, or Runstick)
Choose from a range of values up to 5 minutes, or until you start again and turn off the screen.
Note: It is not compatible with Samsung smartwatches, it only works with Android Wear OS (Fossil watches, Techwatch, etc.)
Have you found that the built-in backlight timeout on your smartwatch is actually too short? Wouldn't it be nice if you could adjust the backlight timeout to keep the screen lit longer? (This way, not only you but your friends can enjoy the new watch face you just installed...)
Note: Some watch models force the light to turn off regardless of the value you specify in the app. (In these hours, the "indefinite" setting is similar to "indefinite +")
How to use: To set the backlight timeout, open the app on your watch. This will display a longer backlight setting. Select a setting from the list by clicking on it. Disable the application by selecting "Off" in this menu. (Note: If the app does not work on your Fossil watch, go to Settings > Apps & notifications > App info > System app info > Fossil smart battery mode and disable this app. Then restart your watch.)
Note: Setting a longer screen timeout can reduce battery life. We recommend setting the value to 10-30 seconds...
