Description of the application
Return to Boston in 1770 to gather evidence to determine who was responsible for the violence that followed the Boston Massacre. For American high school history classes, TimeSnap is a 12-15 minute learning experience that helps students understand complex resources, incorporating them into important historical moments.
Places include: The Royal Exchange Tavern, the colonial prison that housed Captain Preston, Paul Revere's workshop, and Long Wharf where British troops landed in 1768
Documents include: the publication of the book Revere's Genocide, a letter from Captain Preston, and the publication of the book Revere's Army Landing. Using the stick, players analyze documents and objects
Listen: to people's opinions, choosing key elements to go back in time to build a museum exhibition. Under the direction of Director Wales, the player describes logical historical skills such as identifying sources (who wrote this document? Purpose?)
and setting the context (what else was happening when this happened?).
