Application description

This app is a transparent and semi-transparent theme that works on Android OREO, PIE, 10. You can install it on Pixel devices and some AOSP devices. The app has black, semi-transparent, and full transparent modes. Please read the full description and attached documents before purchasing or leaving a review. How to install:

1) Download and open the Substratum app, then select the transparent theme.

2) Once you open the app, you have to select the frame so that the other app becomes transparent.

3) Choose any other application options you desire from the available options.

4) Use the floating button at the bottom right to create and apply overlays.

5) Restart your device (most changes will take place immediately, however, some may require a reboot).

6) If for any reason it takes too long for the overlays to work, restart and apply the steps again.

What is transparent?

Transparent is a theme that allows your device's wallpaper to appear as your wallpaper. In fact, you can get a different look every day when you change the wallpapers.

Many apps you installed will become transparent, such as System Settings, Notification Bar, System UI, Android Messages, AOSP Messages (MMS), AOSP Email, Android Virtual Keyboard, and many others.

Google apps like Contacts, Phone, Google Home, Keep and Gallery cannot be made transparent, so I made them mirrored.

In addition, you can also control the system accent and primary colors of almost all Google apps. You can change the color of your Play Store and the color of the Google app itself between transparency and other colors.

If you want to return to the primary colors of the system, Google app, or other wallpaper, you must clean the installed overlays and apply your choice again.

How to clean installed overlays:

1- Go to the top right corner of the underlying layer (while inside the transparent theme)

2- Click on the three small white menu dots. This will bring up a drop down menu and tap on the “Clean Installed Overlays” section.

3- Wait for it to clean (takes about 5 seconds) and your screen will flash dark and then work again

4- Restart your device, then you are free to reapply your choice again.

However, this process is quite poor, as it has become very difficult to select the system color theme/overlay on newer phones, but it works every time!

If you run into problems or force a shutdown for any reason, you can always install Substratum Rescue zip in your custom recovery and that will get you back up and running.

Also, if you encounter problems or force close after updating the app, allow Substratum to uninstall the overlays and then reapply them. 99 percent of the time it will work!
