Without root access, Undeleter can only scan the app cache for images.

Your app cache may contain photos that may not be discoverable: you may find photos that were shared with you on social media but you never opened, or lower-quality versions of photos that you have now or were deleted in the past. They may also contain images previously loaded by your browser or other applications on your device, including images of people you do not know. They can be filtered using "Hide existing files".

Deep Scan experimentally scans and recovers the following file types: BMP, JPEG/JPG, PNG, MNG, JNG, GIF, MP4, AVI, MKV, MP3, OGG, OGM, WAV, FLAC, AMR, MP4A, PDF, SXD, SXI , SXC, SXW, ODT, ODG, ODS, ODP, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, ZIP, JAR, APK, EPUB.

Data clearing is available for a select number of applications. Data will be retrieved in the form of HTML files for WhatsApp and Viber, as third party catalogs cannot be integrated.

Shred/Secure Deletion: Files in free disk areas can be permanently deleted in bulk using the Shred function. You can also use the system-wide Share menu to securely delete files directly from within any other application, for example by opening Gallery, selecting a number of photos, pressing the Share button, and choosing Secure Delete.

Permissions: All these are required for different functions, this is not a time consuming game, this is an adult app written from scratch to recover deleted data.

Google decided to group many permissions in such a way that apps ask for it all or nothing, leaving you to know exactly what is being used and why. In other words, you are responsible for your decisions.
