1. Download the app. There is no background check, interview or pre-approval.
2. Full passport functionality. With the Mobile Passport free version, your information will expire four (4) hours after submission. To scan and store passports for future travel, upgrade in-app to Mobile Passport (plus 7-day free trial) or monthly (no trial period).
3. When accessing, enable Wi-Fi or data. Make sure the date and time settings are set to your current local time zone. Submit passport questions and CBP questions.
4, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will issue a digital receipt in the form of an encrypted QR code receipt, which will expire after four (4) hours.
5. Follow the moving passport control signs.
6. Show the physical passport and QR code receipt, and speak briefly to the CBP officer.

Mobile Passport does not replace your passport. You must have your physical passport.
Group requests can be submitted on one mobile device for all family members in the same household traveling together (provided each family member is a US citizen with a valid US passport or a Canadian citizen with a valid Canadian passport and a B1 passport or B1 or B2 visa status).
Do not use the Mobile Passport app and Global Intervention interchangeably for the same inspection. If you have both programs, wait until you reach the inspection area to determine which line is shorter and which program to use.
Mobile Passport Plus Payment Information - Payment will be charged to your Google ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically ends unless auto-renewal is turned off no later than 24 hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period and you will determine the cost of renewal. Subscriptions and auto-renewal can be managed/turned off in Google Play Store settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited if you purchase an in-app subscription.
