If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us.
If the CHROMECAST icon is missing, restart your Chromecast device, phone, and home WiFi. IF NOT FIXED GOOGLE SDK bug may be affected, try other 3rd party apps to check, not YOUTUBE or NETFLIX because they don't use the official SDK.
This app is not a mirroring app, it should find a video you want to play and it will send it to Chromecast. Do not convert tab.
Live broadcasts are supported, as well as other videos that use the same file format. Live streaming (HLS) support is experimental and may experience issues. If you'd like to test out the latest fixes for issues, sign up for our beta community
In addition to being able to play videos on Chromecast, this app also allows you to download those videos, and of course you need to make sure that you have the permission of the copyright holder before downloading any video.
Permissions in Web Video Cast:
Wi-Fi connection information: Required for Chromecast and the browser itself.
Photos/Media/Files (Public Storage) - Required for the download function.
In-app purchases: For the premium version.
First find a video you want to watch. You can do it in Chrome and use the share option and select "Web Video Caster" or you can use this app to find it too by entering the address of any website.
Secondly, connect to Chromecast.
Third, play the video as you normally would or click the play button in the application menu.
So all you have to do is relax and enjoy the video.
If you are using a different web browser when you find a video that you want to cast, all you have to do is share the web page with Web Video Caster.
Some websites are a bit stubborn and do weird things, so if you're having trouble playing videos, check out our guide on several ways to get them to work on index. gsp
This application has been tested with different websites. Not all videos work on all sites and sometimes you have to try multiple things to get a video to work. If the video doesn't play in Chrome on your mobile phone (because it's not HTML5), it won't work with Chromecast, and not all videos that play on Chrome mobile will play on Chromecast because it has a number of supported formats.
When you have a choice between several files, you should always prefer .webm and .mp4 files over others.
The best option to play a video is to click the play button in the application menu. If this button is missing, try the video search button. If that doesn't work, try the play button on the video you want to play, and finally, on Android versions 4.3 and below, you can tap the full screen button inside the video.
The premium version has the following features (if you don't see the features after purchase, please restart your phone):
No ads.
Signs.
Possibility to configure the home page.
Playback history and queue, plus the ability to resume.
Create a home screen shortcut.
