Application description
Have you ever noticed differences in the speed of charging your phone between a combination of chargers and USB cables? Now you can use the Ampere app to measure and prove the charging and discharging current of your battery.
The application provides the following features:
- Know the need for shipping
- Alert notifications
- It works on the device and supports Android Wear
The application can be run on Android devices version 4.0.3 and above. Please note that it does not support all devices due to there being no suitable measurement chip or interface to support it. Please see the list of unsupported devices at the end of the description.
It should be noted that the accuracy of the app is not absolute, but it is useful for evaluating the performance of the charger and USB cable combination in the same device.
To start using the app, launch it and wait 10 seconds until “Measurement” appears on the screen. After that, the charging or discharging current reading will appear.
The current reading is affected by several factors, including:
- Charger type (USB/AC/wireless)
- USB cable used
- phone type
- The current tasks you are performing
- Screen brightness
- Wi-Fi status
- GPS status
